About

Managing Director, Creative Director

Early in my career, I was hired to conceive, write, and produce good ideas. The kind that reverse 5 years of declining sales, grow revenue 28% in 15 months, drive 75% pass through rate, and deliver 300% more leads than the previous year.

As clients laughed, cried, swore, jumped up and down and offered a standing ovation for these ideas, their customers’ homage took more measurable forms: website visits, product purchases, and call center crashes. Twice, no less.

While teaching at the highly regarded Creative Circus portfolio school, I learned to develop talent and direct creative. But not until owning an agency did I begin to manage staff, contribute to strategy or serve as a client lead.

In the past few years, my focus has turned to advocacy and while the goals have changed, my penchant for results hasn’t. One of my proudest moments was helping to rescue 68 of 70 California state parks slated to close. Closer to home, I kept my lead client’s favorability among policymakers above 90%, for 4 straight years.

Since joining Purple Strategies, I have led creative on a Fortune 100 and a Fortune 200 client, while also contributing on a Fortune 10 account. True to DC form, these clients shall remain nameless, but their challenges have required me to flex in new and exciting ways.

Now it’s time to stretch in a new direction. Perhaps, in yours.
